Who is behind Marketing Metal?

Marketing Metal is the brainchild of Emily Joann Wilkins–a sharp, shiny, magnetic marketer with #jobshoplife in her blood who saw an opportunity to make an impact. She noticed new shops popping up and old shops leveling up, and experience told her that they needed a new approach. Strategically partnering with talented people for specific projects, her methods ensure that customers get exactly what they need.

Emily has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kettering University (formerly GMI) in Business Administration & Marketing. Living in the woods of Saugatuck, MI, Emily and her husband spend most of their free time outdoors–racing sailboats and swimming in the summer, and skiing and hiking in the winter. The rest of the time, they’re often found hanging with their doggos, cooking up something delicious in the kitchen, jamming to a great Spotify playlist, or spending time with their gigantic families.

The manufacturing sector is changing fast. Are you ready?

98.6% of manufacturing companies in the US are small businesses–and 75.3% of these small shops have fewer than 20 employees!¹

Yet 89% say they’re struggling to hire the help they need to keep up with demand.¹

One of the top reasons cited for this is a glaring misperception of what manufacturing jobs look like today. I’m on a mission to change that.

I love what I do because I know it matters. My clients love working with me because they can tell. If you’re here, that means you want to do something that matters too. Let’s show ‘em just how RAD job shops can be!
